Are you outgoing and people oriented or are you more reserved and task oriented? There are different ways to interact and communicate with people depending on the traits associated with their personality type. But if you really want to connect with others in life, at home or in the office, it is important to understand more about your own personality first. This will help you know how you want to be treated and perhaps motivated. Knowing how you think and interact with others will help you navigate conversations and manage key deliverables in a team setting or group environment.
First get to know and understand your personality profile by taking The Maxwell DISC Assessment. Widely available throughout the US and online through Helmut Services, the DISC personality assessment is administered by certified leadership coach and Maxwell Team member, Mr. Helmut Herder in Leesburg VA.
Outgoing >> Task Focused
As a D, you aspire for those with whom you work to have immediate results so they are aligned more closely with you. You tend to provide an opportunity for a “small win” so they feel content and look to you for further leadership. Be sure to inspire and not intimidate, and you will move into your key strengths.
Outgoing >> People Focused
As an I, you have a natural ability to relate. You are great are making contact with people and initiating relationships. This is a key strength. Be sure to have systems or support in place to ensure timely and effective follow through to position yourself for true success.
Reserved >> People Focused
As an S, you make sure a group is relaxed and comfortable. Mediating problems is also one of your key strengths. Your ability to be transparent and authentic with people resonates best with them.
Reserved – Task Focused
As a C, you have the ability to create order, and that is a key strength that many individuals and companies want and need. Lean into this key strength as you execute, remembering you can always go back and make it better. The key is creating and executing the plan, while tweaking along the way.
One outcome of the Maxwell DISC Assessment is that it helps people understand the traits of others. This makes it easier to communicate, to engage and to motivate others when pursuing common objectives, business goals or key performance indicators.
Your success is my mission. Consider investing in the Maxwell DISC Method Assessment for you and your team. Take the steps needed to move faster so you can get where you want to be sooner.
“I facilitate results that can help people like you become more successful.” – H. Herder, Managing President of Helmut Services
With over 40 years working in many positions in the business world, Mr. Helmut Herder previously retired as an executive from an electrical engineering manufacturing company. A month after retiring he started consulting for a European Manufacturing company. That did not fulfill him, so he pursued his dream of working more to help people.
“Getting results that impact people’s lives became a passion for me. I decided to up my game and massively invest in my growth. I became a certified John Maxwell Coach, Leadership Trainer, DISC Trainer and Elite Mastermind Facilitator.” – H. Herder
Today I use my education, life experience and training to help individuals. I prefer coaching and training in a one on one format that is ideal for business executives. Sadly most people never come to the awareness that they sabotage themselves. They blame the state of the economy, the time not being right, the marketplace, the job market, the competition and any other excuse outside of themselves to not do what they know they should have done a long time ago.
